How should my friend do her hair for a dance?

Heyy both me and my bff are 13 and we are both going to the same dance!!!!!!!!! :) she wants a cool way to do her hair. She has dirty blonde hair really short almost at the shoulders and is hard to keep in a stubby ponytail. How should she do her hair!??? (please include pics thanks!)
