How high do atheists set their moral standards?

Fairness and honesty is essential to the scientific code of ethics. If we had lying scientists all over the place. we would have no technology. Civilization depends on a code of ethics to survive and flourish, I find living in a society where everybody lies, cheats and steals uninhabitable. *a fate worse than death
